Zimbabwe and Lake Kariba.

The highlight of this Safari was 5 nights spent on Lake Kariba. For those who know the lake, it really is a special location especially when enjoyed from on board one of the large boats that are capable of hosting people on-board for a good few nights. There is nothing to beat the sounds of Africa such as grunting Hippo and being woken in the morning to the piercing call of a Fish Eagle. Unfortunately, the lake level was very high which meant that sighting wildlife was difficult. We did manage to see elephant and a number of the more common species. We also saw Lion.

Bird life was good as usual. Fishing was also good and we enjoyed both Tiger Fish fishing and also good Bream fishing.

There is nothing like a few days on one of these boats to provide getaway relaxation that one needs from time to time.
