Tanzania - Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.

23/5/2006 to 1/6/2006.

The migration herd was again in the central Serengeti area. We had exceptional sighting of a Leopard up a tree with a young Wildebeest kill, good Lion sightings of male lion in a yellow Acacia tree, and an unusual sighting of a Serval Cat. Cheetah were spectacular this safari, and we saw 3 male Cheetah enjoying the sunshine in the northeast of the Park. We also saw a mother Cheetah chasing and capturing lunch; to be joined then by her 3 very well disciplined cubs, who had also watched the whole chase and capture.

We were still on a learning curve discovering which lodges suited us best, but after this Safari felt that we were finally working out which lodges measured up to our requirements. We are always on a learning curve, with so much to enjoy.
